		<description>Hello Ahu,

Glad you are enjoying the blog....To answer your question, yes I brought my laptop with me to India! I would suggest bringing your laptop if you will need to use it alot or plan to use the internet alot. However, be aware that my computer hardrive crashed on me here a few months ago and it was A TOTAL nightmare to get it up and running again! If you have a Dell Like I do then I say NO b/c they have a pretty non-existant support system here in India - even if you have a warrenty or insurance or support in the states, it will mean squat here! So, do double check the international coverage on your particular computer, and back up everything on your computer someplace and keep that at home - just in case...Plesae learn from my mistakes!!!

Do drop me an email when you arrive, I will be here till late December!

Om Shanti,
Krista

Hey!!! I must tell you that you are right on to back up all your information and leave it someplace safe at home...Also, do be sure you double check your insurance info on the computer but also the type of support offered for your particular computer brand and model. Does it have international support, and if so is that support good, and does it really offer much in India??? Strangely enough India is a great place for computer support so you should be able to fix any problems you may have - however your computer company may not pay for those repairs if they don&#039;t have a good international cue nearby!

There are Lan Ports in Internet cafes, and Anu&#039;s Internet cafe has wifi (only one I know of at present)...However, if you will be here three months I totally suggest getting internet in your place once you get here (some flats already have internet hooked up but if they don&#039;t it is still pretty cheap to get it at home, which is more of a bargin than internet cafes if you will be doing a lot of work on it everyday!)

Om Shanti,

		<description>Hello, I like your blog.

Funnily enough I spent time pondering on the same thing as Ahu. I&#039;ve decided to bring my laptop because I want to do some work out there. I&#039;m just making sure it&#039;s insured and all backed up before I leave. Are there LAN ports in internet cafes or wifi?

btw, David swenson says that everyone freaks out when their practice gets shorter, but it&#039;s the quality that counts. Hope you&#039;re enjoying it :)

<description>Congratulations on moving up to second series! it should feel very good. I hope to see that day sometimes for myself, though there is probably sometime until then.
One quick question. Do you have your own laptop with you. I ask because I am planning to come to Mysore at the end of October and I will stay for three months. I have been trying to figure out whether I should take my laptop with me or not.
